What is Hanzi Sticker Match?
Hanzi Sticker Match turns a paper sticker recall activity into free online practice. You place circular “hanzi stickers” onto pinyin slots to practise matching characters with their pronunciation — no account required.
How do I choose which characters to practice?
Tap Start a random board for a random set of 10. Use Choose practice source to select an HSK level, your saved vocabulary, or one of your Decks. Pick my own always starts with an empty set, so random and historical boards never carry characters over.
Is this tool free? Do I need an account?
Yes — free for all HSK levels. You do not need to sign in. Without an account, preferences and practice boards stay in this browser. When you sign in, practice history syncs to your account so it can follow you across devices.
How does mobile practice work?
Pinyin slots sit on the paper board; stickers stay in a tray at the bottom. Drag a sticker onto a slot, or tap sticker then slot (or pinyin first, then sticker). Use the tray arrows to scroll.
How is this different from flashcards?
Flashcards use spaced repetition and card-by-card review. Sticker Match shows a whole board at once so you choose the order yourself — similar to placing stickers on paper. For long-term SRS review, try Flashcard Review after a sticker session.
